I, the Divine

"I had tried to write my memoir by telling an imaginary reader to listen to my story. Come learn about me, I said. I have a great story to tell you because I have led an interesting life. Come meet me. But how can I expect readers to know who I am if I do not tell them about my family, my friends, the relationships in my life? Who am I if not where I fit in the world, where I fit in the lives of the people dear to me? I have to explain how the individual participated in the larger organism, to show how I fit into this larger whole. So instead of telling the reader, come meet me, I have to say something else.

Come meet my family.
Come meet my friends.
Come here, I say.
Come meet my pride"

  1. hmm yeah.. that's a good one.. :)

Nour, I was actually looking forward to more of your posts. They're natural and who doesn't like to know what others are upto, atleast I do.. :P Thanks for coming back to blogging. =)

Although I brought you back to blogging, I myself haven't been able to catch up with my blog lately.. :( Anyways, the blog's good. It has that 'marine' effect to it.. blue's all around. But the TITLE "Nours-Account" doesn't seem to convey your marine interests. I am sure you've thought about it and indeed it IS your account, so the title's also justified. Wait, am I judging?? Oops! Sorry for that..

But I am really glad on your comeback. :D

  2. hey saad! i know, i'm going to be putting a lot more "me" into this, i'm just filling it up with little "non-me" thoughts and snippets as a start... still a lot more work needs to be done! thanks for the encouragement though! :-)
